Insurance & Fees

at Hudson Dental Co.

At Hudson Dental Co., we focus on providing exceptional dental care with the latest technology and highest-quality materials, ensuring you get the best results. We’ve designed our system to offer excellent care whether you have insurance or not, with budget-friendly options for everyone.

How does insurance work at HDCO?

We understand it might be confusing, so let’s break it down:

- Dental insurance is not a "safety net", but rather a pre-purchased coupon, often covering only 30-40% of treatment costs, not the 80-100% many expect.
- Even if your plan isn't in-network, we will still accept it and file claims on your behalf.
- You’ll pay for your treatment at the time of service, but we’ll handle the paperwork and submit the claim to your insurance provider.
- Reimbursements usually take about two weeks to process, and you’ll receive the check directly from your insurance company.

Does that mean you don't take insurance at all?

We will assist all patients with getting out-of-network insurance benefits from their carrier. The only difference in our process is that the patient receives a check instead of our office receiving it (in the conventional in-network relationship) and our fees are due at the time of the visit.

Our office fees are structured to be similar to most well-paying insurance plans. Patients with Aetna, United Healthcare, Cigna, Metlife, Guardian, BCBS, Anthem, and some Delta plans can expect 70-100% reimbursement for most of their dental needs.

Why We’re Not "In-Network" with Insurance

We’ve made the decision not to be in-network with insurance plans to avoid compromising the quality of care we provide.

Dental insurance plans often limit the treatments and materials available to patients, and we believe it’s important to make decisions based solely on your needs—without interference from insurance companies.

What This Means for You

By not working within the constraints of insurance companies, we can provide the highest quality care using the best materials, labs, and trained professionals. Your treatments will last longer, look better, and feel more comfortable. Plus, we stand behind our work with warranties on procedures.

How to Prepare for Your Visit

Our treatment coordinator can provide you with the necessary dental codes to receive an estimate before your appointment so you can know what to expect in terms of fees and insurance reimbursement. If you have a high-quality plan, the reimbursement should be close to our fees. If your plan is less comprehensive, it may cover a smaller portion.

Alternative Options: The HDCO+ Membership Plan

If you purchase your own insurance or have a limited plan, you might want to consider our VIP Membership Plan. This plan offers great benefits at an affordable cost, including:

  • Two thorough cleanings per year with wellness and plaque scans
